Weber Grills Charcoal Grill

Has anyone used the charcoal Weber Char Q Grill – 616 002? Does it take long to prepare for cooking?

We are going camping this weekend and I I went to buy one of these barbecues, so do not have to cart around a gas bottle, but now I'm worried because a friend of mine says it will take an hour to warm up!

charcoal is not the time for heating. There are bags of charcoal can be purchased with lighter fluid already in them. simply place the bag across the grill and light the whole bag. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get ready. Wait until the coals are glowing red. Trust me, the taste coal worth the extra effort.
